Houston Producers’ Forum is best known for its monthly luncheons. These gatherings are typically held at The Petroleum Club on the third Tuesday of each month. In recent years, we have secured an impressive array of speakers including CEOs of large and small E&P and service companies, industry analysts and leading members of the financial community. We feel that the dramatic growth in our membership is directly attributable to the quality of speakers that we have been able to attract.

Tim Duncan is the President and CEO and a founder of Talos Energy Inc., a public company converted from a private one formed in March 2012 and initially funded with up to $600 million of private equity commitments from Apollo Global Management, LLC and Riverstone Holdings LLC. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Talos is engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and production of oil and natural gas properties with a focus on operations in the Gulf of Mexico, including the shallow waters of offshore Mexico. Talos is the third company built with private equity capital with his partners over the last seventeen years. Since inception in 2012, Talos has grown from five original employees to over 350 employees with over 150 MMBOE of Proved reserves and >50 MBOEPD of net production. Talos became a public company in May 2010 after completing a reverse merger with Stone Energy and now trades on the NYSE under the ticker symbol TALO. In 2013, Talos was named by the Houston Chronicle as the #1 Top Workplace in the Houston area for companies under 150 employees and has maintained a position on the list of Top Workplaces for the last six years. In June 2016, Mr. Duncan was named as the EY Entrepreneur of the Year for the Energy & Energy Services sector in the Gulf Coast area.

Mr. Duncan earned a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Mississippi State University, where he was honored in 2012 as a Distinguished Fellow of the College of Engineering. He subsequently earned an MBA from the Bauer Executive Program at the University of Houston. He is an active member of the SPE, IPAA, NOIA, and YPO. Mr. Duncan also serves on various academically focused boards including the College of Engineering Dean’s Advisory Council and the Foundation Board at Mississippi State University.
