Houston Producers’ Forum is best known for its monthly luncheons. These gatherings are typically held at The Petroleum Club on the third Tuesday of each month. In recent years, we have secured an impressive array of speakers including CEOs of large and small E&P and service companies, industry analysts and leading members of the financial community. We feel that the dramatic growth in our membership is directly attributable to the quality of speakers that we have been able to attract.

Karl Brensike

Co-founder and CEO

Karl Brensike is the co-founder and CEO of Haymaker Minerals & Royalties, LLC. Haymaker has employed sophisticated practices from the software, finance, and upstream E&P industries to acquire mineral and royalty interests in over 35,000 producing wells across 24 states and over 500 counties. Haymaker is dual financed by Kayne Anderson Energy Capital and Kohlberg, Kravis and Roberts.

Mr. Brensike also serves on the board of the IPAA as Chairman of the Membership and Business Development Committee. Mr. Brensike started in the mineral and royalty business in 2004 as a founding member and Senior Managing Director of Cornerstone Acquisition & Management Company, LLC.

Mr. Brensike previously served as a hedge fund analyst and marketer for Cornerstone’s parent company, the Argent Funds Group, where he held FINRA licenses 7, 24, 55, and 63. Prior to working at Argent, Mr. Brensike was the co-founder and CEO of a venture-backed software company, netHESIVE, specializing in artificial intelligence-based search applications. netHESIVE merged with Channel Intelligence, Inc. in 2001 which was later acquired by Google.

Mr. Brensike is a graduate of the University of Southern California, with a B.S. in Business Administration.
