Chief Executive Officer and Chairman
Thomas B. (Tommy) Nusz is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Oasis Petroleum Inc. and the Chairman of Oasis Midstream Partners LP. He co-founded Oasis in 2007 with private equity sponsorship from EnCap, and in June of 2010, Oasis Petroleum completed its initial public offering (IPO) on the NYSE. Under Tommy’s leadership, Oasis has since grown production from approximately 3,300 net barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEpD) at the time of IPO to approximately 87,000 net BOEpD currently.
Today Oasis Petroleum is an oil-weighted, independent exploration & production company with approximately 408,000 net acres in the Williston Basin and approximately 25,000 net acres in the core of the Delaware Basin. Tommy and his team have built Oasis into a top tier Williston operator, with a focus on full-field development and select vertical integration. In late 2017, Oasis made strategic entry into the Delaware Basin to complement and diversify the company’s asset base.
Over the course of the company’s growth, Oasis made significant investments in midstream infrastructure, and in September of 2017, the company completed the IPO of Oasis Midstream Partners, a fee-based master limited partnership, on NASDAQ. Tommy serves as Chairman of the board of directors of the general partner.
